Science Explores World Around Us To STIMULATE the student’s interest in the nature which sur- rounds them daily and to give them a basic background and appreciation of science was the primary goal of the science department. A knowledge of sci- ence aids students in making deci- sions for future goals in the field of science. In fact, many occupa- tions tend to lean more heavily on scientific techniques. Many courses are offered including: biology, chemistry, and physics. Each of these courses prepares stu- dents for their part in the modern and complex world of today. Where It's At Frantically finishing up last night’s assignment, taking notes in longhand to a teacher who talks in shorthand, desperately grasping for an answer to a tough test question, laughing at a fellow student's remark - it all happens in the classroom.
