Girls Tennis The girls tennis team smashed their way to a 15-0 record and a Sunbelt League cham- pionship. In the first round of GIF, Palm Springs destroyed San Gorgonio 18-0. In the second round, Palm Springs played Gorona Del Mar. and came up short, losing 10-8. Jack Kilgore was this years coach and he contiriiicd the success of the team. In individual play, Gourtney Gebhart and Heather Petty reached the finals in the dou- bles competition and barely missed on coming home with a GIF championship. Al- lison Allen was named top singles player on the team. 1. Allison aces her opponent with a powerful serve. 2. The 1980 tennis team. 3. Maria shows off her backhand and get ' s the winning point. 4. Came, set, match, for Heather Petty. 5. Pearl drops helps Bernie keep those pearly whites. 6. Rosa Mediano gives the ball another wham, bam, slam! 7. This could be the game for Courtney! 8. Ann Khorey watches the ball, as she concen- trates on aceing her opponent. 9. Bosom Buddies. 10. Good game girls.
