Music Club The music dept. at P.S. is run by two extremely talented men. Mr. Richard Reed runs the vocal dept. and Mr. David Caygill runs the m- strumental dept. In the vocal area there were two main classes this year. The concert choir and the madrigal singers, but a girls glee and chorale class has been taught. Mr. Reed also teaches a guitar class, in the instrumental dept. there was many different classes. The concert bana, marching band, and stage band were the most popular classes, but there was a class tor string in- struments only offered. For the past three years the choir students have traveled to Knott ' s Berry Farm and performed in the Festival of Lights, held during Christmas season. In the month of April the annual pop show was held and all music stu- dents performed in the popular show. The show was some wnat of a Broadway performance with popu- lar songs of today, like Dolly Par- tons Nine to Five , to the well loved songs of yesterday, like Rock around the clock . All the performers in the show were stu- dents and not only did the audience enjoy their proauction, but they had a great time doing it. 1. The Madrigals sing at tlie Tram 2. Energy For America V.I.C.A. In Action 1. Gold Silver medalist at Region- al Competition held at Long Beach State University on Feb. 21. 2. Opening and closing team won gold at Regionals and will compete in Sacramento on April 24. 3. Busi- ness Procedure Team won gold at Regionals and will Compete in Sac- ramento on April 24. 4. Some day Peter Leveri hopes to be a great chef of Europe, but for now he is • just a R.O.P. cook. 5. Drafting competitors at the local Skills Olympics held on January 17, 1981 6. Marty Kramer competes in paint- ing at the local competion. 7. Finals adjustments in the Automotive competition. 8. Nursing competi- tion was successful with all patience recovering. 9. P.S.H.S.
