Victories came over Cochella Vally and Moreno Valley in the season finale, a 7-0 shutout. David Blevins and Tim Chappell shared the quarter backing duties. 1. But the Indians bounced back with an upset win over Norco, 32-27. Ceorge Smith led the way with another 100 yard plus game and 3 of his 1 1 T.D ' s of the year. Ihey came back the ne«t week with another upset win over Rubidoui, 13-7 to set up the finale with Moreno Valley for C.I.F. Palm Springs led 13-6 and heading lor the lockeroom at halftime when the officials brought the team back for another play. Despite the arguments of Coach Gary Skinner and Assistant Coach Carlye Lyneis, the officials gave M.V. another play and they made the best, with a T.D. pass. They came back to score 2 more in the second half to give them a questionable 27-13 victory. Smith ended the year with over 800 yards rushing from his fullback position and teamed with Mark McPherson for an eicelleni running attack. David Martinet and Scott Hyso anchored the offensive line, while linebacker Rob Cormier, and defensive back, Terry Rodas eicelled on defense.
