It is our hope that the current Chia demonstrates that its staff has proven itself worthy of the rigors of such a creation. To all of us who read this Chia, it will bring fond memories of years of study, social and athletic activities, andthe beginnings of maturity. It has been the goal ofthe Chia staff to present, in writing and pictures, the highlights of 1963 at Palm Springs High and it is our sincere wish that we have accomplished our aim in the fine tradition ofthe previous Chias. Those of us who worked on this publication will never forget the hectic, but worthwhile lessons we learned in writing, art, layout, advertising, punctuality, salesmanship and finance. For the greatest portion of this education above and beyond our normal stu- dies we are deeply grateful to our advisor, Mr. George Jump, a person of infinite patience. His guidance and enthusiasm set our standards and inspired us in the success we hope we have achieved in this annual.
