V K . ts! a y ■S break from the serious nature of classes was the annual all-college pool party held at Lido Pools. Splashing, jumping, diving, eating, chatting— all added to the enjoyable event. As the evening progressed the slight hint of rain blossomed into a violent storm. Most of the students headed for cover but the braver lot vk eathered the storm in the pool. lasses finally begin. Students find themselves in a daze trying to find various lecture rooms and laboratories, but as the days move by a routine is established. To students enrolled in science, mathematics, and engineering the walk to and from the science building is a well-traveled one. Once you step into the modern labs you note the type of work done in them. ly icroscopes, slides, the odor of form- aldehyde, and skeleton samples are all aspects of the laboratory classes. I he slide rule, standard equipment for the engineering majors and for students enrolled in higher mathematics, is a fascinating instrument. I im and Joe seem quite content with ex- amining the day ' s comparative anatomy assignment. t acuity members at PBJC- are always willing to help and advise students whenever necessary.
