Glass 0 jficers Above: Kathy Newlon, Jim Connor, Monte Markham, Suzanne Saunders. In September of ' 53 P. B. J.C. welcomed a new, eager, and conscientious group of students. These students are now the sophomores of ' 54, the aristocrats of the campus. To guide them through their first year, the members of the class chose Monte Markham, President; Wayne Snyder, Vice President; Kathy Newlon, Secretary; and Russell Kartrude, Treasurer. When Snyder and Kartrude left us for the service, Jimmy Booth and Bob Grant were elected Vice President and Treasurer respectively to take their places. The high light of the year was the sophomore-freshman banquet at the Coral Beach Club in Palm Beach. This year the Class of ' 55 was active in all organizations and was always ready to pitch in to make a real contribution to our college. The leaders were Monte Mark- ham, President; Jim Connor, Vice President; Kathy Newlon, Secretary; and Suzanne Saunders, Treasurer.
