THE CAFETERIA STAFF . . . was the best! Not only did they serve us delightful meals, but you will remember that this year for the first time they ar- ranged to serve breakfast to those of us who arose too late to get our breakfast at home. The STAFF: Lucille Ellaworth, Brunch Operator,- Ruby Roberts, Cook; Ann Zwakenberk, Man- ager; Barbara Clark, Salad Mak- er; and Bea Martinez, Baker. THE CUSTODIANS . . . kept up their usual excel- lent work, maintaining our buildings and the campus to high standards. Pictured are, left to right: Jim Bristol, Head Custodian; Clint Brinser, Herman Helgers, Harry Strausbough, and Jack Casey. OUR BUS DRIVERS . . . got us to school and home again, and now and then took us on special field trips. They could be tough when we deserved it, but they were swell people when we needed help. Left to right: Wanda Underwood, Myrtle Beau- champ, Wilma Arnold, Danie Peebles, and Irene Cannon.

We see no white-winged angels now. But yet men are led away from threatening destruction: a hand is put into theirs, which leads them forth gently toward a calm, bright land, so that they look no more backward . . —George Eliot . . . unless you have worked on a Yearbook you have no idea how involved is the organization behind the teachers you happen to know. In earlier pages we have talked about the School Board, which manages the finances and synchronizes the activities of all the schools. We have discussed our own Pacifica Admin- istration, and the staff of Counselors, and the heads of the various teaching departments. Working with all these, and with us sometimes individually, are those pictured on this page, men and women specially trained to help us in our more intimate emotional, health, and home problems. Some of them you may know; all of them you may have seen; each is very important to us at Pacifica . . . Dorothy Grandi School Nurse 99
