CINDY SCHMITT- This year, Cindy was the only staff person to have some- thing faintly resembling a good head on her shoulders. Unfortunately, the resemblance ends there. Cindy's mind first began to deteriorate after she got into drugs, and her mental condition has gone downhill ever since. TERESA ZANABONI- Teresa is a fine example of what can happen to a naive person in a demented society. She spends her spare time at a commune where she meditates on such vital issues as whether or not the existence of -T' ' i , i tree lice is meaningful in today's society. L JULIE CURRY- Last seen waving out the window of a DC-I0 as she flew off Brazil with imbezzled yearbook funds. Her bad luck streak. which began the first day of school when the entire staff showed up for class. continu when she took Gail's advice and invested her millions in the Chrysler Cor ration. Whi h Of The e eopleC?D I Howd Doody's Llnderstud ? RENE SERVIS- Rene recently got into Zen-Buddhism. which accounts for the blank pages she tired to turn in this year. Upon graduation. Rene plans to revert back to little girl status and go through thirteen more years of school to pick up anything she may have missed out of life. .IANA COOPER- Jana's major contribution to the yearbook was the extensive section which was to appear at the back of this book. Unfortunately, Jana's decision to have basic black autograph pages caused the entire section to be scrapped. STEVE ACTERMAN- The most obvious choice for Howdy's understudy due to his passion for cutting the fuzz off of red pipe cleaners. Steve has the distinction of being the only staff member to install a two thousand-dollar Buffalo Bob security system on his box. SCOTT KRIEGER- Scott is one of twelve people at Pacifica who are at least willing to pretend to be patriotic. However, Scott blew his cover when he became eligible for the draft. He fled to Israel under the guise of visiting Washington. D.C., and he hasn't been heard from since. ED MERKLE- Eddie became a perfectly typical yearbook photographer when electro-shock therapy wiped away most of his personality. Ed holds the record for lost rolls of film, forty-three and still counting. GAIL LOUIE- Gail makes an excellent understudy for Howdy Doody despite the fact that she is an amputee. Gail makes up for her handicap by smiling constantly. even when she is told not to smile since everyone in the picture is supposed to look serious. MIKE CAMPION- Mike once used his Howdy Doody image to infiltrate the CIA and gain access to top secret information regarding the Committee to Re-re-elect Nixon, of which Mike is a member. Mike can sometimes be found practicing with his band, Doodyvillebound. SHARLYN OUALLS- Sharlyn is a member of the Committee to Re-clone Jimmy Carter. She practices Shivanism in her spare time as she strives to achieve cosmic unity or, in her own words. to just float through life like a German dirigibIe. SMITA VAKIL- One of the few semi-literates on the staff this year fthe rest are all illiteratej. Smita's utter devotion to the staff was best expressed as she was overheard saying, I don' care. I'm getting out of here because you all make me sick. DANA KRIESEL- Dana received the Most Innocent award as she achieved new heights in purity this year. Her wholesomeness makes her the perfect president of the local chapter of the Sid Vicious Fan Club. MR. MICHAEL SULLIVAN- For Mr. Sullivan, making the transition from a Cuban revolutionary to a high school English teacher was no problem. After recently becoming a professional mercenary Che majored in Sadism in collegej, Mr. Sullivan plans to further his career by running for Ayatollah next year. He refused to be Howdy Doody's understudy, saying modestly. I'm just too good for the part. DANETTE NORTHCUTT- Danette is pictured here in her entirety although it looks as if she is not pictured at all. After not having seen Danette in class for days and months and years. we decided that Danette must be a figment of our imagination or else she is just one of those people who blend into the background. NOT PICTURED DAVID CABALLERO- Dave missed much of the year as he desperately struggled to uphold the photogra phers' tradition of non-productiveness. Although he had to miss six months of school in the attempt, he still failed to surpass the rest of the photographers in their great race to take as few pictures as possible. LAUREN DEMARCO- Lauren is not pictured because she had a bad experience with her curling iron on the day pictures were taken. She is still trying to recover from the shock. SUE GRANT- Sue's inability to speak English was a definite handicap since she was in charge of copywriting for the Spirit and Senior sections of this yearbook. Nevertheless, Sue has been a definite asset to this book although she is still under suspicion of being a commie spy. 93
