This position not only qualified the team for CIF competition, but it also set future teams back on the road toward a first ever league championship. Four people who will try to make the dream of a league crown a reality next year will be Clair Haney. Tom Sisneros. Bob Thompson, and Ken Vizzini-this year's top J.V. runners. During the pre-season, it appeared that the relatively inexperienced team was going to have a difficult time ac- complishing either of these goals. Only Tom Cook and Greg Vizzini had any exten- sive varsity experienceg Stu Farber and Brian Stemm had some, but .lim Madden. Charles Reed, and Eugene Rou- geau had none. But when the league season began, the team got tough. Led by All League runner Greg Vizzini, the team powered past Garden Grove, La Quinta, Bolsa. and Rancho before they were finally beat- en by an excellent Los Amigos squad.
