The team, which had no returning varsity players and only two seniors, showed great improvement all around. Outstanding performances during league play were given by Mary Murphy, Misty Campbell, and Donna White. An all-new .l.V. team with only two returning J.V. players showed 10096 improvement during the 1978 volleyball season. The players made up for their inexperience by giving consis- tent performances. Excel- lent performances in setting were given by Cathy Brown, while Janine Lee did an out- standing job of spiking for the team. Although both teams had disappointing seasons this year the teams show great potential for the future. Tennis Is A Bigger Racket At PHS . . .And we do mean BIGGER! This year more girls have come out than in years past, commented coach Brand. The team also has more talent than in the past. Top seeded singles are Jennifer Taylor, Jenfei Lee, and Cheryl Robinson. They've really played well. The team started out strong and Mrs. Brand hopes they finish that way.
