Homecoming S... On Friday, October l3, Cindy Mason was escorted through the Civil War period to be crowned the l978 Homecoming Queen. She reigned over the half-time ceremony, just as Scar- lett reigned over her plantation home Tara , in Gone With the Wind. The week preceding this was one filled with much fun, excitement, and spirit. Competition was held between the des- ignated classes each day, with the exception of Wednesday, when the band Right gave a sneak preview of their Friday night performance. A pep assembly on Friday ended the week's festivities, with the senior class once again winning the spirit flag. On Friday evening, students, faculty and alumni attended an outstanding football game where the Mariner team defeated Bolsa Grande High School. Following the game, students and alumni flocked to the gym for the Homecoming Dance, where they were entertained by Right The combination of Spirit Week, the half-time ceremony, and Homecoming Dance made the 1978 Homecoming one of the best in Pacifica's history. ln' Q 4 one Wit in 1 ' Q., ' ' .if .
