Pacifica's pep assemblies help generate spirit and give the students a good show. Assemblies begin with the band, drill team, and tall flags marching through the halls playing Anchors Away . Once inside the gym, Pacifica students honor one or more of the sports in season. Pep assemblies are held every month except during football season when they are held every two weeks. Assemblies have had a variety of themes, ranging from Gone With the Wind , Rocky Horror Picture Show , Friday Morning Live , or Firing up for Football Finals. There was one special assem- bly called Champions , which was greatly enjoyed by all Pacifica students. At the end of each assembly is the spirit competition where the classes compete to see who has the most spirit. The winner gets the spirit flag. The assemblies always close with the Alma Mater. Pep Assemblies keep Pacifica's spirit strong and enjoyable at the same time. it 1
