i l I. A helm was given to Dr. Bailey at this retirement party. He retired in 1967. 2. Mrs. Winters finds the Senior SAT tests very amusing. Orval Winters, Principal The first person to occupy the captains quarters at Pacific was Dr. Bailey. His credentials proved him well worthy of the iob. Dr. Bailey attained the first Ph.D. given by U.C.L.A., and in 1939 received the Best American History Novel Award for The Ohio Company of Virginia. Dr. Bailey captained our ship for I4 years. Dr. Brickley spent 7 years as a V.P. at Pacific before taking the iob of principal. He now works in the Agriculture Department at Pacific. Occupying the helm now is Orval Winters. She was a teacher for 25 years and an administrater for 8 years.
