The Home Economics program for l96O included a more concentrated instruction in physical and personal develop- ment. The sewing departments increased their instructional equipments with new Singer and Pfaff sewing machines. The Art Department was divided into two maior sections, Fine Arts, including all classes for art development, a study of commercial and industrial design, and Arts and Crafts which were offered in the new crafts room. All sections of the Applied Arts Department took advantage of vocational and specialized speakers. This Advanced Art class of Mr. Les Nielsen is diligently working on cubist paintings which are of contemporary French origin.
