POLI E CADET Top - J. Hauber, S. jones, I.. Cook, R, Hoerter Bottom a--- D. Miller, A. Lang, D. Behrendt lt is the duty of the police cadets to find and eliminate safety hazards around the high school. Eight boys, two from each class, check on all the parking of bicycles and cars, on the over-enthusiastic ball players who use the lawn each spring, and do any other jobs that are neces- sary. These boys also sponsored an after-game dance. The officers were as follows: David Behrendt, presidentg Larry Cook, vice-presidentg Arden Lange, secretaryg jack Hauber, treasurer. Mr. Bostad and Mr. McDonald are their advisers in the high school. Sergeant Frank Barbers from the local police department also works with the boys. The attendance workers are those boys and girls who help Mr. Kuhl in the attendance office. This is an important job, involving a great deal of responsibility. The workers must pick up the attendance slips in the morning and at noon and keep an accurate record of the students who are absent. If a teacher neglects to mark .1 student absent, she later receives a little notice from the attendance worker. Each of them realizes that attendance records must be absolutely accurate because state aid to schools is based on actual attendance. The attendance worker can be proud that he is doing a worth while job. Top - D. Schulfer, D. Breitenstein, M. Hoag, j. Varney, H. Zenoft, Galccke. Middle - A. Peplinski, R. Soik, J.
