Qlluh To celebrate Thanksgiving this year the women of Ozark Academy spent hours and the men, well, not nearly so long in preparation for what?-a country picnic. But this was no ordinary picnic. Besides the usual knapsack of food there were salads and fruits of all kinds. ,F or a special treat, one could take a stroll to the old-fashioned ice-cream parlor where the only un-sweet things were the choices of what kind of of cookies and which flavor of ice cream to get. Mike Martling sang three songs which made our tummies shake with laughter, our patriotic hearts swell with pride, and our sentimental eyes fill with tears. Then Elder Carl Tanksley shared some of his exciting, rewarding, and embarrassing colporteuring adventures with us. After a short journey to the gym we found ourselves back in the early 1900's reliving the experiences of Pollyar1na . All in all it was a well-planned night and the thanks go to Nanci Kinsey and Dean Kirkpatrick along with the other Girls' Club officers for a job well done. Even though the theme was Aw Shucks the only time it could have been used was by a bash- ful guy as he said, Goodnight! me ff 'IV,. ijfgall , V -- 'J ,X rl I ,Z
