NI lllllll1L, 1 X 1 s 111 IN lik llk I l 1 K Seniors at Last Semm' Class School started late this year with the scramble for the Senior Bench sitting up front in assemblies and our mad controversy over senior colors resulting in maroon and white for our Senior flag packets and sweaters Spaghetti was the chief item on the menu at our Senior Spread in the Cafeteria Everyone brought food and we had about fif teen kinds of spaghetti and app'e pie Mr Van Ness was Chief Salad Maker and Miss Fitzgerald distributed the apple pie We danced to records, played the piano and sang off key Our next activity was the Senior Picnic at Oak Grove with many burnt hot dogs and fingers Our volleyball game continued all day Aches, pains and cactus needles appeared at school the folowing Monday due to our mountain climb ing, baseball game, horseback riding, swinging and iumping rope Open house at J C , lounging around the campus with last year's seniors was even more fun than we expected We were thrilled with the new Bannister Gym and the Dedication Ceremony. Our Senior Play, Seventeenth Summer, was a real hit. The party afterwards, to cele- brate, was quite a hit also. Remember when we ordered our Senior Announcements, how proud we were that it was our turn to send them out? Our Senior Breakfast and Bacca'aureate, which we had looked forward to for so long, were well worth the waiting, There's no danger of our forgetting the Prom in May, at the Elk's Club for the first time. The theme was Spring and flowers were used for decorations. Last, but not least, was our final triumph, Graduation Night at Hauser Field, when, dressed in caps and gowns, we walked in as high school students and walked out as High School Graduates. Remember .....
