Darlene published the student bulletin which contained all important business ofthe student government class to be discussed in guidance classes, as well as being official secretary of student council and govern- ment class. As treasurer, Trenie Biittel was responsible for all ASB. finances and business directly concerning money matters, The year opened with the sale of student body cards, followed by student sales of football tickets. lt was Trenie's duty to collect and deposit receipts, pay all bills and record these transactions. Jim Fergeson, Sergeant-at-arms, in cooperation with his nine assistants, kept order in all student body assemblies throughout the year. .lim was in charge of various and num- erous other duties related to student conduct and responsible for his assistants to the ASB. and administration. Under the leadership of Cheerleader, Jim Malis, and his two assistants Carol Thomas and Jerry Godwin, our cheering section largely influenced the award to OLJHS of the League Sportsmanship Trophy for football. Jim was also elected Dir- ector of Athletic Relations in the California Association of Student Councils at a state convention in the spring. Wi-i-iv! .
