H1 Y THY The l-lleY CLUB with a smaller than average membership was headed by Jim Mce Clain and advised by Mr. Dawley. The l-lifY members Darticipated actively in the Alle County pot luclf. dinners and were able and efficient hosts at the dinner held in Oxnard Some of their activities tor the year included ushering tor the Junior and Senior plays and otticiating at football games held at l-louser Fie'd. Their meetings were generally held at noon instead ot the former night gatherings. Several ioint meetings with the Tri-Y were held with Jim McClain officiating. Upholding their ideals ot high morals and Chris- tian living throughout the home, church, and community, the TRI-Y had a series of prof grams for their bifmonthly meetings at which many interesting speakers were heard, The success ot the TriYY Club is shown in the enthusiastic response and large membership. l-ieaded by co-presidents Shirley and Sharon Watts and adviser, Miss McKenzie, the Tri-Y has participated in several all-county Y meetings at which there was a pot luck, a pro- gram, and a community sing. ln February the Oxnard l-li-Y and Tri-Y Clubs were hosts to the other county clubs at the Masonic Hall where a dinner and program were enjoyed by all.
