Classes Again Back to the old routlne at twelve forty fave The study hall ns a pr tty good place for a nap but the llbrary as defnnutely a place for studylng ONLY Mass Dorrance has full charge of keepnng the llbrary up to date l-llstory and clvlcs under Mass Donlon and Mrs Westervelt keep us checked on current eveats and prepare us for good cntlzenshup The soon as Mr Edmuston took hold They attended the Southern Callfornua Band Festlval at USC Many assemblles wer glven by the publlc speaking class under the dlrectorshnp of Mr l-larp These proved very entertaining to the students Mr l-larmon Mnss Carlson and Mrs Booth took charge of the comm-er ual department whlch Included comrnerclal Engllsh typing shorthand and bookkeeping Many students who left school durxna the day to work at the ratuon board were from these classes The prcture at the top of th fo'lowlng page shows a gurl being counseled for her next years classes Those attendung OUHS are fortunate IO that each student has rndlvldual counsellng by teachers who understand the needs and requnrements for the dlfferent courses given 1 - s. , 5' , A Tx lr - band and vocal departments got a late start this year but went forward with progress as
