TOM TOM REMARKS . . . 1959 Shining ribbons of concrete and steel, glistening water, blue sky and limitless space, visions of distance and intriguing places, re-discovering the old world and the mysteries of the orient, re-exploring the grandeur and bounty of our own land -all of these may be measured in miles, and would, if we traveled the highways and byways, represent to one and all - TRAVEL. But it is of travel in other realms, iourneys of the mind, visions of things to be done and your dreams for the future, that I would write to the Class of 1959. These iourneys for you may seem as trackless as space travel. The traveling of others, past and present, will help make your journeys less difficulty if you use them. These iourneys will be limited only by your determination and drive to reach your destination. In this sense, you will be bound only by yourself and your goals. We wish you God- speed . Sincerely yours, Sheldon E. Guile 7 SHELDON E. GUILE Superintendent of Schools
