Dedication . . We, the staff ot the TOM TOM, proudly take this opportunity to dedicate the yearbook of 1958 to our school, the Owego Free Academy. In doing this, it is our intention to leave behind us some recognition of our appreciation and some moments of remembrance. Although this building has now fulfilled its role as a high school, a duty which began 34 years ago, it must now give way to the new. We, who have roamed its halls and profited by our years of experiences here, will forever cherish the memories it has given us.

Foreword . . This TOM TOM, since it is the last to be edited in this Owego Free Academy, has special significance to everyone. Aptly, the theme is Change From the Old to the New. Although we regret leaving this scene of many pleasant memories, we are eagerly anticipating our arrival at the new high school. Those who are presently Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen will be able to enioy their modern surroundings, but the Seniors have the singular honor of being the last class to be graduated from the present O.F.A. In the thirty-second and final edition of this Owego Free Academy's TOM TOM, we bring you the last tangible mementos of high school years in the O.F.A. 3

Administration On the first day of school in the new building in 1924, the students, as usual, went to Central School where they had been going halt sessions while the new school was being built. Led by the band, the students marched down to the new build- ing, cheered by the crowds along the way. Since this time the office hasn't really changed at all. Its staff always tries to do the best by the parent, teacher, and the student. 5
