Q10 'FX ' -ia? . X 0 JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS Front rotr, left to right-H. Hodge. Student Councilg R. Trice. Student Council: P. Manchester. President: R. Thomas. Vice-President: L. Brown. Treasurer. Rott' fIl'0i3ll', Truman. Adviser: Miss Curtis. Adviserg B. Billings. Student Council. . Third Base E. THE members of the Junior Class, have now reached third base and are working diligently to cross home plate which is graduation. We are grateful to the coaches. our parents and teachers, who have helped us reach third. With their continued help. we are confident of scoring for O. F. A. We, the graduating class of '56, are proud of the contributions that the members of our class have made. both in the field of scholar- ship and in extra-curricular activities. High on our batting order are Barry Billings, Linda Brown, Francis Gray, Dorothy Kemp. Richard Morey. Ralph Thomas, and Doris Very. In athletics, we also have a high percentage. Half of our football and basketball varsity squads were composed of juniors, as were our wrestling. baseball. track. and tennis teams. Also. four junior girls were on the varsity basketball cheering squad. Then, too, there are the other activities, such as band, orchestra, concert chorus, choir, dra- matics and Junior Red Cross, in which we juniors took an active part. However, we juniors agree that if it were not for the excellent counsel of our advisers. Miss Curtis and Mr. Truman, our class would not have been one of the most successful. With their help we put on one of the biggest record dances in the history of the school. For St. Patrickis Day we made shamrock favors-the sale of which turned out to be a good money- making project. We also held a very successful bake sale. Last, but far from least, was the Prom, the biggest single event of the year. Now as most of us head for home, we leave with the hope of having made a good im- pression for those on first and second. We are confident that, with hard work, we shall make one of the greatest scores that the O. F. A. has ever had.
