PRINCIPAL 'A' Congratulations to the Class of l986l You have reached a very important milestone in your life. This is the end of a very secure existence and the beginning of many new and challeng- ing experiences. Whether you pursue a post high school degree or seek imme- diate employment, each of you must assume your proper place as a con- cerned citiien of our city, state and nation. This new role carries with it many obligations and responsibilities. We hope that all of us at Overbrook High School have influenced your lives and assisted you in acquiring skills which will hold you in good stead as you assume your place in society. Each of you has the potential to be- come that one special peson who can solve our world problems. However, 'ane SCO? X . D prinC'Pa none of us can achieve our full poten- tial without hard work and persever- ance. Set your sights high, chart your course carefully and keep your dreams foremost in your heart and mind. You can do anything if you believe in yourself. Always look back on your years at Overbrook as those which helped you form the foundation upon which you will build your future. Be proud that you are an Overbrook Alumnus and part of that great Overbrook tradition which has been established by those graduates who have gone before you. While you may have plans to become a star, most of you will probably have to resign yourself to being a supporting player. Nevertheless, whether a star, the understudy, or another supporting player - how well you play the role will depend upon you. It is my hope that you have availed yourself of the myriad learning opportunities present at Overbrook High School and that you are pre- pared for whichever part of the exciting drama that life has in store for you. Perform your part well, and be a beneficiary of all the good that life has to offer you. VICE PRINCIPALS Samuel J. Gotlieb Vice Principal There are three major components for eva- luationg any class that has come through or will come through Overbrook High School. These components are academic achievement, ser- vice to the school and community, and school spirit. l would rate the class of l986 high on the scale of each of the above criteria. The class of I986 has shown a high level of academic excel- lence. In addition, the class of l986 as a whole has participated in school functions and Home S School sponsored events. Finally, one of the strong points of the class of l986 is its school spirit. I believe it equals any class I have had the good fortune of knowing. lt has been my pleasure and will continue to be an honor to work with the class of l986.
