CLASSCLASSC LASSC LASSC LASSCLASSC LASSC LASSC DICTATOR With school days now over for most of us, it is fitting for us to consider a philosophy of living. During the past few years of economic depression, the world has been painted for us as a rather bleak place, where the ordinary individual has little opportunity We have been told that there is no place in man's present scheme of things for youth, Youth is too inexperienced. And yet, does experience really play so large a part in this world as some people would have us believe? All new tasks require a freshness of experience They have a tang of adventure that strongly appeals to youth. Youth has strength, strength in his courage and convictions He sees himself as he is, and, with an eagerness almost uncontrollable, he plunges in and attempts that which older men, lacking, not experience, but vouthful zest, fail to accomplish. I am incapable of formulating a philosophy of living, but, at parting, classmates, l give you the words of a great American philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson The secret of culture is to learn that these few points are alone to be regarded, -the escape from all false ties, courage to be what we are, and love of what is simple and beautiful, independence, and cheerful relationsgnthese are the essen- tials, these, and the wish to servefeto add somewhat to the well being of men, LEONARD STRUNK, SSCI LA SSC LA SSC LA SSC LA LASSCLASSC SSC LA SSC LA SSC LA SSC LA SSC LA l c
