A Hope for the Future RIGHT now, when I have so much to say to you, words seem to fail meg my vocabulary seems to dwindle before me-I am left in a daze. My head spins around in a circle-the circle is becoming clearer, more distinct as it twirls round and round. In it I see faded pictures divided and sub-divided into many sections, each a tell-tale of previous years in Overbrook High School. After collecting the momentary visions in my mind I have a complete story of the gradu- ating class of February 233. There comes back to my memory the 11A class meeting, the foundation on which we started to build the phenomenal success of our 11B and 12A dance. Now, we are ready to be graduated-to be graduated and go into a world where there is an endless struggle for existence. Some of us will remain perma- nently in one spotg others will rise to great heights and become perhaps famous men and women. But no matter what our destiny may be, we must remember that The secret of success consists not in the habit of making numerous resolutions about various faults and sins, but in one great. absorbing, controlling purpose to serve God and do His will! If this be the controlling motives of life. all other motives will be swept into the force of its mighty current and guided ought. ELLIOTT LEVIN.
