This was Overbrook. Our experience in this place has been of such value as it is impossible for us to realize at this time of our lrves We have actually lived part of our lives here in Overbrook not only in study but in many activities that have filled in and made our school work more complete From all of these actrvrtres not only rn school but also on the athletic field from our clubs and classrooms have we been better fitted to undertake the real problems of life which confront us all W understand better the responsrbrlrtres of a good citizen We have been pre par ed by the faculty to do our share for the Welfare of society I am sure that the frrendshrps formed here rn Overbrook will play an lmportant part rn the happiness and success of our lrves However no matter how suc cessful we may be we shall happily recall the pleasures and benefits de rrved from our assocratron with Overbrook and all concerned Since all partrngs must be coupled with sadness this parting too fills us with the sorrow of saying good bye to our chums perhaps for ever It IS difficult enough to say farewell to one frrend but rt rs rnfinrtely harder to say farewell to many friends Members of' the Faculty words cannot express our apprecratron for your patience and effor ts rn our behalf Most of you have been inspirations to us at trmes when we were rn dire need for such influence Your work for us shall never be forgotten And now on behalf of the class of June 1930 I wish to thank Mr Augustus Schreiber its sponsor for the loyal support he has grven to our class The work of our cabinet and committees has been excellently per formed under the guidance of our enthusiastic sponsor For two years he has worked conscientiously for the betterment of our class and rn years to come he will be remembered by us all as the tactful and friendly advisor Classmates our graduation IS makrng new hrstory We have been busy making history since we came together four years ago Those years have been full of action with some trials and trrbulatrons They have not however been without their encouragements and hopes for the future Such progress as we have made rs the result of our pulling together rn finest co operation and enthusiasm to make our class which rs the first to go all through Overbrook the best rn its history Let us go forth rnto whatever enterprrse we are undertaking in the true Overbrook manner Let us strive to do our best' The benefits and pleasures I have received from my assocratron wrth my class are too numerous to mention now but being President of such a distinguished group as ours has been a mrlestone of my lrfe I can only hope that you have had as many happy and interesting experiences during your high school life as I ARTHUR EGENDORF fwfr! l rw .
