The World of Speech Has Many Voices
Through many hours of study in the class-
room and practice after school, aspiring drama-
tists attain the poise required to appear before
an audience to present a play, speech, or read-
ing.
All students have gained a certain amount of
this skill with the introduction of a speech
course into the curriculum. Endeavoring to put
speakers at ease, Mrs. Veronica Francis assures
each that "speech is only enlarged conversa-
tion."
Speech students find in Mrs. Veronica
Francis a perfect example of an instructor
who practices what she teaches.
Not for home economics, but for a unique demonstration speech,
Anne McAuliffe deftly prepares a teenager's favorite snack,
pizza.
Sister Mary Laurentina's second year thespians prepare for the casting of the senior play,
"Song of Bemadettef' by reading through the script.
