To us she is a living example of Christian personality. lt is our prayer that we may each, in our own small way, be a lasting tribute to her prayer, work, and guid- ance. In the reception room, Fr. Henry Schuhmann fBIessed Sacramenti and Fr. Albert Allen KST. Agnesj leisurely talk over their lesson plans before the 8:30 bell, se5it'.L'4 CLalafain gkriofian erfionahfg- 0lU an 0l"0U!?I' J All of us are aware that we must have a "Christ- likeness" in ourselves so intense that each might say, "l live, now not i, but Christ liveth in me." The better you know yourself, the more thor- oughly will you know God. After all, are you not made to God's image and likeness? Since God is Love and Perfection personified, your own life, imitating our Lord's life,, will become happier as it becomes holier. Today and tomorrow, you only seek after pleasures that you want as "good for me." Real ioy is found in "Goodness" which is the same as "Godliness." Here, in this life, we pause from time to time to enioy some little goodness already within our grasp. Too soon it has gone and again we go seeking more goodness. You will never find perfect happiness until you find perfect Goodness that will never be lost, and that Goodness is God, So, whether you will admit it or not, you want and need, and are constantly pursuing, Divine Love Himself-God. Know God, and you will love Him. Love Him and you will serve Him. Serve Him faithfully, and heaven and happiness will be your reward-not for fifty or seventy-five years, but for time unending- for all eternity! E aff!! For the final time as students we cross the threshold of Our Lady of Mercy. Four years ago, we timidly made our formal entrance to OLM, by presenting our freshman program. Gradually, faces became familiar, room numbers no longer confused us, and most important-we were warmly accepted as part of OLM. Since then many practical and wonderful experiences in accordance with countless opportunities have been pre- sented us, molding our character, giving us the Christian outlook on living. Many days, happy and eventful ones, have since taken their course. Now, it is time to make our exit-again we are a bit timid, perhaps fearful of the challenging doors of the world, leading us down new and strange halls. As we leave our Alma Mater, we wish to extend our appreciation: To our Principal, Sister Mary Victorine, R.S.M., for her patience, understanding, and excellent supervision. To Father Burroughs, our Chaplain, for his spiritual guidance and friendly advice. To our Lore staff advisor, Sister Mary Anton, R.S.M., for her perseverance and confidence in us. To the Sisters and Teachers who graciously gave their assistance. To Sister Mary Hugh, R.S.M., and the E. J. Arthur Photography Studio who captured those "moments to remember." To our Patrons and Advertisers, who helped make the Lore a success. To one and all a sincere "Thank You" and "God be with you always."
