H there is any one thing that stands out more than all others in that com- bination of charming assets that go to make up that sparkling personality- our Prom Queen, Norma Johnson, it is her ever present bright smile. From reliable sources-Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnson, to be exact-we understand that Norma flashed her very first smile upon them, when they made their mutual acquaintance on the bright sunshiny morning of Septem- ber l7, l935. Ever since then Norma has kept on smiling all along. Norma smiled her way through Grammar School at Immaculate Conception and Loretto. Then she beamed on Our Lady of Loretto's brand new High School, when she registered here as a member of the first Freshman Class on September i6, I949. The four years of high school sped by only too swiftly for popular smiling Norma, who is interested in all school activities, was always an integral part of Loretto Hi. Norma's biggest moment came when, as a Senior, her class mates paid the greatest tribute to her friendly smiling personality by voting her Queen of the Prom. 57
