You can always tell the truly educated person from one who has only been to rcbaol. An education is more than learning a maze of facts and figures. It teaches a person how to think, act, conduct himself, and really enjoy life. Man has many wonderful gifts from God: it is his job to find how to use them to bring the greatest joy and satisfaction to himself and countless others. jesus himself said, I am come that they might have life, and have it more abun- dantly. john 10:10. Throughout the following 2,000 years, millions have come to find this more abundant life in Christ. Many say that Christ is all sufficient, and truly he is. But unless we know something of this universe, and the way mankind has treated it, do we really enjoy our lives to the utmost? Ouachita is fortunate in having the great faculty which labors here. The students are fortunate because of their opportunities to learn and grow in Christ. Arkansas Baptists are fortunate in that they have such fine facilities for training their leaders of tomorrow. The growth of the student body, coupled with the new buildings rising, should be ample proof of this. But we have chosen to recognize only a part of this fine faculty, not for what she has done, but for what she IS. Through the years, this person has come to mean a great deal to students who leave Ouachita. She has received cards and letters from former students mailed at spots around the world. What greater endorsement could there be, for a job well done? It would be hard to find a person with a warmer personality towards the students, a more pleasing smile wherever and whenever you meet her, and one with a greater understanding of college students. To her, teaching is not a way to earn a living . . . it is LIVING. Students are as much a part of her life as bread, water, or air. Because of the many traits listed above, plus her sense of humor, her stickability when the going gets rough, her determination to help make everyone a better person, and most of all, her strong Christian character, the Editors and Staff share with the student body in the great privilege of dedicating this 1956 Ouachitonian to one who truly possesses the Tiger Spirit, an alumna, MISS FAY HOLIMAN.
