Miss Jamison,“Advisor and Joyck Rose, President Members of the (). II. S. Writers'Club have one thing in common. That is an active interest in the field of creative writing. These students have dicsovered a way to enjoy them- selves anti to display their talent by expressing their throughts on paper. Besides writing for their own pleasure, the club members are interested in st.'ite and national coni| etition and have won high honors in previous years. The purpose ol their monthly meetings are to read and discuss their work in the various fields oi composition. Much of their credit for the successful functioning of the Writers Club this year is due to the combined efforts ol their efficient and capable sponsor. J . J. (L. OKFICKRS: JoAnnc Thompson. Joyce Harry, Marilyn Switzer The purpose of the Future Teachers of America is to create interest in the teaching profession. Besides meeting in the club room on the first Tuesday evening of the month, this group has had many educational and social activities. In December, the members were invited to the Christmas Program given by the special edu- cation students at Adams. Mrs. Blake, their instructor, spoke at the next meeting of F.T.A. At Christmas time Marianne Work gave the annual Christmas Party when the members exchanged gilts. A needy family was pre- sented a Christmas gift by this group. The officers of F.'I'.A. are: president. Joyce Marry; vice-president, Marilyn Switzer; secretary, Marilyn Busher; treasurer, JoAnn Thompson and Miss White, Adviser. Pack 87

They are the members of the 0. II. S. Usher's Club. These are the students who are at our school functions to pass out the programs and direct us to our seats. Each year there is one girl chosen from the club to serve as the heat! usher. Bonnie Berg- meier has held this position for this past year and has performed it well. A large part of the credit of the success of this club goes to Mr. Tiede, the Club's sponsor. All of us at (). II.
