Ottumwa High will always be our school. And we’ll ever love her true, We’ll sing of her, We’ll yell for her, And my, what we won’t do, We’ll put her on the map, And see that she stands pat, For we love her true, we do. Chorus North-side, South-side, and all around the town, We’ll all join in together to root for O. H. S. In football, basketball, and every kind of sport, We’ll cheer them on to victory For dear old O. H. S. Rah! Rah! Rah! for Ottumwa.

I RESENTING Another year another Argus—another chap- ter in your book of memories—This is your an- nual—your record of days spent at O. H. S. some days of happiness—some of seeming dis- pair—but every day so precious to you that not one hour should be forgotten—For to forget is to lose—and to lose sight of the happiness of your high school years would be a misfortune, indeed—May you be ever mindful of these years which are so near and dear to your heart—It is to this end that we dedicate our 1948 Argus Annual—Cherish this book—It is your memento of the four A’s” of high school life—Adminis- tration, Associates, Activities and Athletics. We believe the familiar strains of your school song typify your feelings: “Ottumwa High will always be our school And we’ll ever love her true.”
