Dorothy Jensen, B.S., Girls ' Physical Education, Illinois State University; Cheerleading Sponsor. The Physical Education Depart¬ ment at OHS provides an impor¬ tant part of every student ' s life. The students participate in varied activities throughout the year. In the fall and spring the girls attend classes outside, participat¬ ing in such sports as soccer, field hockey, golf, tennis and archery. During the winter they are busy indoors learning the basic skills of swimming, volleyball, apparatus and tumbling. Instructing the girls in these fields are Mrs. Dorothy Jensen, Mrs. Susan Bruns and Miss Laurel Grundmeier. During the fall and spring the boys P.E. classes are also outside on the practice field playing soccer, baseball and softball. In the winter, they engage in swimming, wrest¬ ling, basketball and physical con¬ ditioning. Every Thursday through¬ out the year, sophomore and jun¬ ior boys physical education classes are replaced by military classes. Mr. Nicholas Milosevich heads this department as well as the entire P.E. program, assisted by Mr. Robert Raudonis, Mr. Robert Pur¬ cell and Mr. Marvin Graunke. Mr. Gross is in charge of Health.
