1 Science Is Key to omorrow Where have all the flowers gone'? The biology students have picked them all. During the year they also collect insects and leaves. Every student looks forward to the day when he gets to disect the earthworm. From the chemistry lab comes the familiar odor of sulfur dioxide or as it's more commonly known the smell of rotten eggs. While this experi- ment is the one that always seems to get around the school it is only one of the many fascinating processes that are studied in chemistry. Eek! Ad- vanced biology is not exactly the place for squimish students. In the course of a year they dissect and study crayfish, fetal pigs, and frogs. The purpose of dissecting these animals is to study the functions oftheir organs. What boy's class has lately been overrun with girls? Physics. Traditionally a preserve for the gentleman scholar, the science of engineers and rocketmen has more girls attending than ever, this year, for the first time in anybody's memory. Under the leadership of Mr. Charles Alikonis. the O.H.S. science department takes great steps to keep up to date with the progressing world. The school is kept up to date with new equipment and other in educational devices that become available to it. Physiography and practical science are two more challenging courses.
