Time: Late Afternoon. September. Present Place: The living room of the old Brewster home in Brooklyn, N. Y. lt is just as Victorian as the two sisters, Abby and Martha Brewster, who occupy the house. Despite sickness, homework, and tests, every member of the cast showed up for each rehearsal. Working hard with hammer, paintbrush, and stencil, the stage crew transformed the stage to the living-room of a Victorian style home, the setting for the l959 Senior Play, Arsenic and Old Lace. When the final curtain swept across the stage both cast and crew felt that the work and preparation had been worthwhile and an unforgettable experience Progressing line by line the play flowered into a blooming success Rummage Sale is another traditional event of senior year which takes place when fall winds begin to blow This year Halloween nights brought the highlights of the sale as musty dusty yet industrious seniors traveled from home to home trickertreating for any and all usable remnants After making the rounds a dance was held in the gym with five lbs of rummage required as admission price ,,.. 11' Yes this hat will do nicely exclaims one of the Brewster Rummage Sale booms as the Seniors cry is stack it HlGHER' sisters while selecting her attire 29 , V , , - , .
