RED KWHITE -.NN The Freshman Class THESTART The Freshman class has long been the v1ct1m of many Jokes of the upper classmen We thlnk the reason for thls IS because the Junlors and Senlors w1sh that they mlght forget thelr age and responslbllltles We are unorganlzed and unhampered w1th class meetlngs dues and pms and are lrresponslble ln regard to all except our own welfare and edu catlon We suspect that one reason they tease us IS because they do not reallze how lmportant we really are Thls class IS not a Joke when lt comes to athletlcs and muslc We have several of honorable ment1on who are 1nterested IH football and track The class IS represented by members ln the glee clubs SIX of our members are 1n school orchestras and about seventeen are found ln the band Several of the class are 1n the Junlor Chamber of Commerce The members have taken an unusual mterest 1n the G1r1 Reserve and the H1 Y Two of the class took part 1n the play which was gn en at the Chr1stmas party The Freshman class has also held a promment place on the honor roll, so perhaps we have more knowledge than that for wh1ch the upper classmen g1ve us cred1t Tomorrow, It IS true, we shall be self lmportant Sophomores, but today we reJo1ce 1n bemg Freshmen. 1924 Page Twenty Seven 'T Q--'iff -'fi .' mx.- , H ' --f - in r .,.,, ,Q Y.
