CLASS HISTORY In September 1945, the following enrolled in school at O.C. S. with Mrs. Hamilton welcoming us: Charles Beach, Beverly Bullis, Joan Bundy, Allen Case, Philip Daniels, Roberta Davis, Lee Emerson, Russel Emerson, Pat Gillingham, Donna Haney, Harriett Hitchcock, Laura Hitchcock, Mary Hoyt, Camille Pearce, and Dawn Perry. Later in the year we were joined by Duane McMorris. On we went to the Second grade with Mrs. Haynes as our teacher. Stanley Wood was with us this year. In the third grade we played grocery store and airplane and learned how to be pilots and stewardesses under the leadership of Miss Jester. This year Raymond Canner became a member of our group. We started the fourth grade with Mrs. Hodges. In January we were saddened by her sudden death and Mrs. Horton finished as our teacher. Mrs. Tuttle was our fifth grade teacher. We did scientific experiments and made a sawdust map. Roberta Kimball, Robert Holbrook, and Kenneth Crosby joined us. When we were in the sixth grade, we were the first sixth grade to be upstairs in the new addition. We made a paper mache well for an operetta and put on a Christmas play written by Allen Case. Mrs. Thomsen was our teacher. We were joined by Douglas Dolezel, Colleen O'Mara, and Eva Rake this year. In the seventh grade we took a trip to Albany, Howe Caverns, and The Farmers Museum. Joan Anderson and David Cox were added to our class roll. Mrs. Hungerford and Mr. Maclntyre helped us start the fund for our Senior Trip. The eighth grade year was spent planning and preparing for our High School days. This year Ralph Gerow joined our class. Miss O'Brien and Mr. Clayton were our advisors. In our Freshman year, David Butler, James Pearce, and Betty Ploutz were the last ones to join our group. We held our first dance and the theme was March Winds. We increased our treasury by selling sweatshirts and O.C. S. Novelties. Miss Osterwald and Mr. Bartholomew were our advisors. During our Sophomore year, some of us went to Albany on a Biology trip and some of us went to Cornell University at Ithaca, N.Y. , for Farm and Home Week. We held a Maple Leaf Spot Dance and crowned a king and queen. Mr. Lane and Miss' Osterwald were our advisors. In our Junior year we had a dance in November and since Basketball season was approaching, we used that for our theme. Our Junior Prom was the main feature of the whole year. We used Moonlight and Roses as our theme. The Four Coachmen furnished the music. Pat Gillingham was crowned queen and Ken Crosby was king. Beverly Bullis, Roberta Kimball, Dawn Perry, and Donna Haney were members of the queen's court: Jim Pearce and David Cox were attendants to the king. Our advisors for the year were Miss Osterwald and Mr. Smith. Our senior year has been the busiest. We started off with a dance using Dennis the Menace as our theme. No Boys Allowed was chosen as our play and turned out to be a real success. Our next dance, we used Hit Parade as the theme. The ATEGAN has had much work put in it and we hope everyone will enjoy it. We are looking forward to our Senior Trip to Washington, New York, and Virginia, as the ATEGAN goes to press.
