.nymwlvu 'EJ' STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS: Diane Quinlan, Secretaryg lim Taylor, Vice Presidentg Mr, Garner, Sponsor: Ken Shoemaker, President: Jack Steinmeyer, Treasurerg and Kevin Leonard, Parliamcntarian, Student Council Members Learn to Be Leaders Students develop a better understanding of the 1 principles of d em o c r a c y and self-government through the experience of being a representative of their homeroom. The Council is composed of one elected rep- resentative from each homeroom and a few mem- bers at large. Each year the Council sponsors the Babies Milk Fund. For the first time the Council has started selecting a Boy-and-Girl-of-thc-Month - a cov- eted honor for any ninth grade student. Ken Shoemaker and Mr. Garner present approxi- mately 6,000 cans of milk to representatives of the Baby Milk Fund Drive.
