GIRLS VOLLEYBALL The 1981 Warrior Volleyball team presented a balance of youth and experience. The starting six consisted of three seniors, two juniors, and a sophomore. This team also showed more depth than any in recent history. This allowed the Warriors to present a much more complex offensive and defensive system allowing some players to specialize. With so much talent, it seemed inevitable that the Warriors would achieve more than their predecessors - and achieve they did. The Warriors won the A.l.A.A. league championship with a 7-1 record and defeated two public schools in the same season. Overall the Warriors compiled a 10-3 regular season record. The team lived up to all expectations and hopes. Coach Rowe summarized this team by saying: This team played with the poise and maturity seldom seen in high school athletics. They are winners.
