Los Banos Q17-lj, Hilton Q17-3, and junior Ric Holway Q16-3, led the way to a 7-1 dual meet record. This best-ever record was achieved against the toughest schedule in the school's history. The Warrior matmen averaged 45 points per meet, while yielding only 25. Of the 95 matchs won this season, an amazing 70 were by pin! Strong tournament showings established Orme's statewide reputation.A top-half team finish in each outing and a total of 15 individual placers ffour championships, were the best results ever. At mid-season, the Warriors were ranked sixth among all of the small schools in Arizona.
