TO THE SENIOR CLASS - As the Class of 1958 moves on to other pursuits and respon- sibilities the Crme School will hold closely the memories it leaves. It will be known as the class which, up to this time, most successfully assumed the high quality of leadership neces- sary to help guide the student body through a year of real ac- complishment in terms of community responsibility. The Class of 195® has understood and acted on the idea that rights and privileges should not exist until responsibility exists first; that if freedom is to exist at all it must exist in a well-defined channel, the limits of which protect the rights of others; that much greater satisfactions are to be found in a job well done through self-discipline than in accomplishment as a result of continued guidance from without; and that one of the greatest fulfillments in life is to finish a worthy endeavor with the feeling of having given oneself thoroughly in it. The School recognizes and appreciates the sincerity and the loyalty of the Class of '58. TO THE SCHOOL - FROM THE SENIOR CLASS - For the Senior Class of 1958 a certain chapter in our lives has closed. We have advanced a short distance on the trail of life's fulfillment. We owe a great deal of our preparedness for living to our school; we owe our ability to live in a community of all types of people, our strength to face problems that confront us, and most of all our love of life. During the years that we have been here we have accumulated stores of knowledge which will be invaluable when we enter college. All this would not be ours had it not been for the patience and encouragement shown to us by our many teachers. As we turn our heads toward tomorrow with initiative and confidence, we must glance bad: and say once more, Our thanks to you, Orme School, we will miss you. 13
