DEDICATION Dr. Charles Franklin Parker, minister of the First Congregational Church of Prescott, and one of Arizona's leading citizens has, over the years, been almost superhumanly energetic in the affairs of Arizona, his own town of Prescott, and a myriad of extended areas in Yavapai County. It was the Orme School's good fortune to have had Dr. Parker deliver the address to the graduates at commencement exercises in 1953. His talk met with a spontaneous enthusiasm from the ranch family; it had clearly welcomed him as a part of it. During that summer and the following fall. Dr. Parker visited for vespers on Sunday evenings and it was not long be- fore the School had claimed him as its chaplain. Through sadness and difficult times Dr. Parker has given strength and increased faith throughout the school community and to many individuals, students and adults alike. Likewise, he has joined us at picnics, and parties and has added in great measure to the good spirit. As vice-presi- dent of the Morton Vrang Orme Memorial Chapel Board, he has given clearest expression to the vital role it will assume in the school community and has been most resourceful in his ideas for bringing the original inspired chapel ideal to a reality. As a member of the Orme School Advisory Board his thorough understanding of the school's philosophies and objectives have proved most helpful In guiding the thought of board members. Through his vesper talks and his frequent participation in school events, through his constant interest and great wisdom. Dr. Parker has given added strength to the high ideals of the Orme School. To Dr. Charles Franklin Parker, from whom we have all drawn such great inspiration, we sincerely dedicate this Yearbook.
