N HERSHEY President C - s.T Pi ' ARY President TOMMERAASON Our first week at Orland High really made fools of us, First of all we went through the ordeal of Freshman initiation, and that night we were accepted socially as members of the student body at the Freshman Reception. As a money -making project we sold candy and gum at the home football games, For points towards the Principa1's Trophy, we took tickets at some of the basket- ball games. We also repainted the school trash cans blue and white. The class then had a Sockhop which left us all with sore feet. We hosted the sophomores with the traditional Sophomore Return Dance. Our candidates for Yearbook King and Queen, Karen Gilmore and Sammie Simons, were court attendants at the Yearbook Dance, We ended a very tiring but enjoyable year with a Freshman Picnic, Secretary - Diane Johnsong Commissioner - Betty Commissioner - Karen Gilmoreg Secretary - Juanita Elking Vice President - Pat Doddg Treasurer - Linda Waringg Vice President - Don Cookg Treasurer - Don Leifried, na Osborne,
