D. BR Three down, and one to go! This Junior year has really been great, We started it by winning second prize on our float in the Glenn County Fair Parade. Our first class project for points toward the Principal's Trophy was cleaning up the bleachers and concession stands for the beginning of football season. We sold popcorn at the football games and were quite successful at it. Just before Christmas, we sponsored the Junior Prom. The theme was Frosty, the Snowman, and Frosty was there in person. Miss Gakey's stage crew helped our committee construct the frame for our giant Frosty - 12 feet tall and 7 feet around at the base. We placed the frame in Memorial Hall and stuffed it with white paper napkins, We used black crepe paper for eyes and mouth, a carrot for a nose, and a can on a stick for a pipe. We gave him red gloves and a red scarf and crowned him with a black top hat, and he was ready to reign over the dance! Frosty enjoyed himself as much as everyone else and did not melt and run away. He looked so sad when all the fun was over, but not half as sad as the Juniors who had to take him apart. Another class project was putting new numbers on the room doors. This was a big help to new students and visitors. From our ranks Joan Wallace and Gary Freeman were chosen to attend Girls' and Boys' States. In March, when the intramural track meet was held, the Junior boys carried away' first prize. Were we proud! Our last gesture of the year was decorating for the Seniors' graduating exercises. This was our way of saying, good -by and good luck, D, Pehrson, Commissioner: I. Graves, J, Wallace, Secretary-Treasurer: M. Secretary-Treasurerg L, Howard, Vice Ogburn, Vice President: I. Miller, President. Commissioner.
