Sophomore Activities Eight pupils entered Orland as Sophomores in the fall of 1950. They were Arlene Johnson, Darrell Schultz, Jeanette Johnson, Lynnette Minnaert, Lynn Siert, Donna Hankins, and Ella Adams. Three of the pupils that were Freshmen with them, left to go to other schools or for other reasons. Those who left are Ruth Robson, Donna Mohr, and Ronald Cade. The class took the following subjects: English II, World History, Biology, Home Economics, and Agriculture. All those that were physically able went out for physical educa- tion. The entire class belonged to glee club and either F, F. A. or F. H. A. Lynnette and Ella played in the pep band and the band Darrell Schultz and Arlene Johnson were the Sophomore candidates for King and Queen for the carnival. The class raffled an electric lamp, sponsored a grab bag and sold homemade candy to raise money at the carnival. When the high school students returned to the school after the 19 basketball game at Winfred, the class served them lunch.
