Junior Class Activities On September 4, 1950, eight Juniors enrolled in Orland. They were Mary Johnson, Juanita Killion, Ardella Johnson, Betty Mae Peterson, Mary Hanrahan, Merlin Van Rosendale, and Richard Tupper. Donna Anderson, who went to school in Salem last year, also joined us. The girls took their choice of the following subjects: English, American Government, Economics, Typing, Bookkeeping, and World History. The boys took their choice of Biology, English, Typing, American Government, Agriculture and Economics. Junior Class officers were: President, Juanita Killion; Vice- President, Betty Mae Peterson; Reporter, Donna Anderson; Secretary-Treasurer, Richard Tupper. Mrs. Tabor is the Junior Class advisor. The boys were on the boys’ basketball, kittenball, and track teams. The girls were on the girls' basketball and kittenball teams. The Juniors helped put out the school paper called the Eagle Flash the first three times, and the last four, of which they were in full charge, excepting the Senior edition. King and Queen candidates for the carnival were Betty Mae Peterson and Merlin Van Rosendale. The Juniors had the bingo stand at the carnival. The Junior Class play, OH PROMISE ME, was presented on November 17, 1950. The Junior-Senior Banquet was given in the month of April
