Lois Miller Louisa Feather stone...............Eleanor Bjorklund Susie Featherstone ................Bonnie Behrend The Juniors of 49-’50, entered school with seven members, five girls and two boys. On November 7th, the Junior class presented, a three act comedy, “Don't Darken My Door. The Junior boys have been active in softball, basketball, and track. Both the boys and girls took part in glee club. Fleanor and Bonnie were in the band and pep band. The girls were active in F.H.A. and G.A.A. The Junior class sponsored a school party after a basketball game in January. We received our class rings in March. In April, the Junior class entertained the Seniors and faculty at the Junior- Senior banquet. 14

Sophomore Activities SERIOUS FOR A CHANGE BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE' SOCIAL STUDIES -AND HOW: In the fall of 1949, six happy Sophomores started the year at Orland High School. We took General Science, Agriculture, Home-making, English 1, Junior Business and Social Studies. The boys were members of the basketball team, the girls participated in girls’ basketball. Mary and Bichard played in the band and everyone participated in glee club. We had a bingo stand at the carnival and made over fifty dollars. Our candidates for King and Queen at the carnival were, Richard Tupper and Juanita Killion. In November, we put on a one act play, “Stoney's Brides.” for the P. T. A. This play was repeated at Franklin and at the Sioux Falls College play contest. Following is the cast of the play: Stoney Jones ........................
