Robson, Carl Nelson, Henry H. Janssen, Tom Deremo, Maynard Holter, and Helmer Strom. The students of Orland School and all the residents of Orland Township owe a debt of gratitude to these men and others like them who have served as members of the Board of Education during the past thirty years. An indebtedness that once reached the staggering sum of $ 133,000.00, was wiped out this year when the last of the bonded debt was paid on January 1st. The able management of our present and pa§t Boards of Education has made Orland School one of the few institutions in the State that has been able to liquidate its debts and at the same time, maintain its buildings and improve and expand its equipment. These accomplishments, added to the constantly improving educational standards and the expanding of school activities, have all contributed to the operation of a GOOD school at Orland. Orland now has a good basketball team. Jack Miller is playing basketball with the Minneapolis Lakers. He teaches school for past time. I now see Tom Williams on a farm South of Junius. He is married to a girl he met at college. They have a family of two, both boys, for the future Orland basketball team. Class Poem Now comes the time to say farewell. Oh, lots of stories We could tell. But there is one I’ll repeat o'er and o'er. Oh, you won’t need to scold us anymore. Oh, yes, we’ve loved it thru and thru. And that I’m sure you know 'tis true. And next year when our work is new, I know of’ times we’ll think of you. So now it’s time to say goodbye. And we will say it with a sigh. But there is one thing we’re happy for’ Oh, you won’t need to scold us anymore. 11 Juniors LOIS MILLER GEORGE STANFORD ELEANOR BJORKLUND KEITH KAPPENMAN BONNIE BEHREND MARLENE WESSEL DELORES MINNAERT CLASS OFFICERS President...... Remember, every machine must be working just right to get a good job done in each crop. And to make sure they’ll be 100%, it’s best to have them checked over and repaired plenty of time ahead of work seasons. To get all equipment in first class shape, do this first: put your tractor and implements on our Early Bird Service Schedule. Then, during their idle time, we’ll do a top-notch IH Blue Ribbon Service job on each one. That combination of Early Bird scheduling and Blue Ribbon Service can prevent any time lost in the fields from breakdowns! I. L. BRATAGER IMPLEMENT CO.
